ABOUT

Our Story

Jesika Harper, North Idaho native and cut flower farmer, began Westwood Flower Farm in 2025 as a personal project to reinforce a commitment to living with greater intention after having spent over 20 years working in corporate agriculture.

Having grown up on a peach and cherry farm, she developed a strong connection to how food is grown and a deep appreciation for farmers and ranchers who steward the land.

For years, Jesika has helped young and small producers throughout the West build their agricultural businesses, drawing inspiration from their dedication. This connection to the land began early—as you'll see in photos of her children helping in the garden over 18 years ago, where she taught them the importance of knowing where their food comes from and the value of organic growing practices.

Now, with her children grown, she's pursuing her dream of flower farming. "It's a dream I can't ignore anymore," Jesika shares about Westwood Flower Farm. None of this would be possible without her husband Alan's unwavering support, tireless work ethic, and encouragement—from late nights seeding in the greenhouse to building infrastructure that withstands North Idaho's long winters.

When not tending her flowers or working with agricultural producers, Jesika finds peace in the mountains, exploring backcountry trails with Alan and her beloved mules—a perfect balance to farm life.

"It's a dream I can't ignore anymore."

Delivered in “Stacey”

Deliveries from Westwood Flower Farm come with a touch of nostalgia, arriving in "Stacey," a lovingly (partially) restored vintage Dodge farm truck. This two-tone beauty reflects Jesika's appreciation for times when life moved a little slower and things were built with character and care—values that infuse everything at Westwood Flower Farm.

Our Mission

While we operate as a sustainable business growing premium cut flowers, we believe that true success includes pausing to share our bounty with intention.

In a world of endless to-do lists and constant motion, we've made a deliberate choice to build giving back into our very identity. This reminds us daily to stop, express gratitude, and extend the joy our flowers bring beyond commercial transactions.

For us, "Share" represents balance—running a viable family farm business while simultaneously creating moments of connection and gratitude through flowers. It ensures that as we grow, we never lose sight of why we began: to cultivate beauty that can be shared across our community, honoring those who came before us, and brightening the days of those around us.

This simple word serves as our compass, guiding us to operate with both business sense and open hands—ensuring Westwood Farm Share remains both sustainable and meaningful for years to come.
